System Administrator

INOC is looking for a high-energy, enthusiastic and results-oriented System Administrator to support a growing environment of mostly Linux and limited Microsoft Windows systems. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage, maintain, and document INOC’s systems environment for our corporate and external server and storage infrastructure. Other responsibilities are to design and develop systems support mechanisms, procedures and processes, work with INOC's partners and clients to maintain remote systems, work closely with and provide regular updates to all other groups in INOC and to be available for off-hours support and on-call rotation. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of system administration experience in a Linux and Microsoft operating environment. The candidate must have a solid understanding of Linux operating system and understand paging and swapping, inter-process communication, file system concepts ("inode", "superblock"). Knowledge of the internals of Linux kernel and ability to debug a kernel level problem is a plus.
