What is a NOC?
A Brief Overview of 24x7 NOC Monitoring
NOC (pronounced "nock") stands for Network Operations Center. A NOC is the central location from which an organization monitors its computer and telecommunications networks - servers, applications, routers, switches, circuits, UPS, environmental sensors, security cameras and others. The NOC monitors, detects and resolves events as they happen. Our NOC's goal is to improve our clients' network and IT infrastructure uptime.
At INOC, we provide customized solutions to monitor, notify, and troubleshoot IT events for a wide range of industries.
Our primary NOC in Madison, Wis., is staffed and supported by people whose skills match the different levels of support we offer our customers; our support staff has between 3 and 15 years of technical experience. The NOC is staffed 24x7, with overlap between shifts to allow for proper hand-off of open issues. We also have a Disaster Recovery (DR) NOC near Chicago, which ensures that we maintain continuous visibility in to our customers' networks.
