Alliance Provides 24/7 Monitoring & Support for Key Stakeholders of ICANN’s Revolutionary New gTLDs Program

NORTHBROOK, IL, MAY 12, 2014– INOC, a 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC) and global provider of NOC monitoring, reporting and support services, announced today a strategic partnership with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), in which INOC will provide a year-round, 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC)to support the New generic Top-Level Domains (gTLD) Program. ICANN’s New gTLD Program is designed to increase competition, innovation and consumer choice in the domain name space, enabling any established entity in the world to apply for its own top-level domain.  Before the program, only 22 options were available, ‘.com’ being the most common.  This program has made it possible for brands, communities and organizations to express themselves in ways never imagined before, including the usage of non-Latin scripts, like Cyrillic, Chinese, or Arabic. “We are proud to support ICANN on an initiative that will truly revolutionize the Internet as we know it,” says Prasad Ravi, CEO of INOC.  “The unique nature of the New gTLDs Program is not only a testament to INOC’s ability to deliver uptime to companies around the world, but also tailor solutions to meet our customers’ specific requirements and processes – no matter how complex they may be.” INOC works closely with ICANN as well as domain name Registries, external contractors and network operators across the globe to monitor the uptime, security and availability of the program’s newly established gTLDs. INOC’s team of experienced engineers is able to pinpoint geo-located problems, execute notifications and help ICANN’s vast array of global customers rapidly restore their services.
